Meet Our Principal Broker
After college, Paul spent time working in marketing, management, and sales for various companies before starting his military and real estate careers. Paul also married the beautiful Natasha Amaya before starting in real estate. She is now a very valuable member of the brokerage, as she was once in an administrative role at Marcus and Millichap, the country’s largest commission brokerage.
Paul and Natasha currently have two daughters together. When it became clear that real estate was Paul’s calling, he decided to leave the military after six years of service. He excelled early on in his career and closed over 50 transactions in his second year alone.
Paul was frequently asked by colleagues to start his own brokerage and eventually, he decided to start Young Real Estate. Since then, he has won numerous awards, has been featured in many magazines including ORRA’s 20 Under 40 Rising Stars, ORP’s 35 under 35, AIOREP Top 10 Business Men of Style 2021, the cover of Orlando Magazine, ORP’s Professionalism Award Male Finalist and America’s Top 100. He was also starred in the hit TV show, The American Dream.
Over the years, Young Real Estate has created a culture that has attracted many talented and wonderful people. What is most exciting about the brokerage, outside of the rapid growth, is how people’s lives are truly being changed. We have new Realtors coming right out of real estate school who are getting three or four pending transactions in their very first month! Much of the office training is done by Paul Young personally, and he truly focuses on the practical things that Realtors need to do to be successful. As he says, “It isn’t about selling a property, it is about offering value and expert advice, so your clients can make an educated decision about their most expensive asset.”
In high school, Paul was quite the athlete as he started on the varsity team in both football and soccer as a freshman and was the only underclassman to make the varsity basketball team as a sophomore. Many of his teammates went on to play college soccer, including C.J. Sapong, who was drafted 11th overall by Sporting Kansas City in the 2011 MLS SuperDraft, and his coach’s daughter, Ali Krieger, plays professionally for the Orlando Pride. Both have played for the U.S. National team.
Paul was the first person from his H.S. to go on to play Division One college football. Starting at both, New Mexico State University and Liberty University, Paul transferred from NMSU to Liberty after they were put under NCAA sanction. Paul was the starting placekicker since his freshman year in high school. At New Mexico State, he was honored to be coached by the legendary Roy Gerela who won three Super Bowls as the kicker for the Pittsburgh Steelers during the 1970s. During his kicking career, Paul had the opportunity to play at many high-profile stadiums, such as Auburn, Boise State, and Hawaii. He was 7 of 8 for game-winning field goals in his career, but unfortunately, the one game-winning kick he missed was from 48 yards on National Television and happened to be the first career college start and win of the controversial NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Paul went on to start at Liberty University after playing at NMSU, until he broke his leg during a game in 2008, which ultimately ended his football career.

Our Broker, Paul Young, grew up in a military family. In typical fashion, he lived in many different parts of the World as a child. Most of his childhood was spent in Northern Virginia, as his father worked for many years in the Pentagon and the Marine Corps Headquarters at Quantico. Paul did spend two years in Okinawa, Japan during High School, when his father was the Assistant Wing Commander of the 1st Wing. He, himself, spent a little over six years in the military, with most of that time in the Marine Corps. Paul’s father, John Young, retired as a Full Bird Colonel, spending 32 years in the USMC as a fighter pilot flying F4’s, and later F18’s. The rest of his family has an outstanding military history, as well.
Paul’s older brother, also named John Young, was in boot camp when 9/11 happened and has been on eight tours of duty. He is currently a member of the Army Special forces and will be retiring soon. Paul’s other brother, Peter Young, is in intelligence with the Air Force, as well as his brother-in-law, Chad Richardson. His cousin, Matthew Gilbert, was a battlefield commendation to West Point and graduated in the top ten of his class. He is currently an Army Ranger. Going back through the history of the United States, the Young family tree has participated in every war since the American Revolution. They even have an ancestor who was a member of the Boston Tea Party!
